Johnny - Brockhampton
Though maybe the instrumental and stuff doesn’t remind me of Takiko a lot of the lyrics do. Lots of feelings of inadequacy especially in earlier parts of life, but also now there’s confidence found in becoming a totally new person.
"What could you demand when everybody out to define you without circumstance?"
"but really though, I'm alone, cause I dont stick around. And yes I know its my fault, so put your finger down."
"Should've opened up my mouth more, show em what my fist for, let em get a fistful"
"I love it when the people go wild for me"
"I'm a shithead son and I'm bad at growing up"
"And I like taller guys" lol
Tablet - TOOBOE
And then heres the song that really reminds me of Takiko. (doesnt help that the character that this ED focuses on was a major inspiration for him)

Twin Fantasy (Those Boys) - Car Seat Headrest
It's just THE Tista and Pick song to me it's actually stupid how emotional it makes me. I feel like I could gush about it in relation to them for forever.
Dareka no Sekai - Ichiko Aoba
A song I think fits Tista himself a lot. His ambitions, how he loves others, his feelings on his past it's so weirdly perfect. Its also one of many Ichiko Aoba songs I picked out that I think he would sing himself (Ive got a document with all of them and their translated lyrics cause I am insane about Tista)
GOOFY SILLY ANSWER OUT OF THE WAY... this is caen's theme song to me:
is it because his staff uses (and is named) kintsugi? yes. but also, i think the themes of missing a time that's gone now and feeling unrecognizable as a result are pretty apt. plus it just sounds right. the vibes
i'm sure there's a lot of songs out there about grief and longing that would also fit though
Okay so I think this fits for Loscan because it gives that weird unfocused feeling he has about him where he's like. Hyper aware that he doesn't really belong, but he still wants a connection with others. But he doesn't know how to go about it any other way but leaning right into the belief that everyone hates him and wanting to get that confirmation from them.
And I think DOGLAND fits for him too because everything that's happened to him isn't his fault, and the song is kind of about being trapped, led on, and being unable to break out of things. He doesn't want to be a Canary, he probably doesn't really even want to exist, but he doesn't have it in him to break out of any of it.
