While small, you can still find the essential adventuring necessities in the town—you can find various inns, equipment shops supplied by the mainland, and of course taverns.

[OPEN] At the Flophouse

Post by Az' »

The flophouse was... Kind of a mess.
It was apparent that whoever built it hadn't anticipated the sheer number of adventurers the dungeon would attract.
Az' slowly made his way through the people and belongings strewn about. He let his eyes wander around, to the people huddled together talking in low voices, to that older lady making tea, to the candles that had yet to be lit...
He could feel a soft smile grow on his face. This was the kind of place that Kohei would have pretended not to love. He would have to take him here, when he got better. In the meantime, all Az' could do was hope that the elder couple he has left him with was taking good care of him. They would regret it if they weren't.
Az' managed to find a free spot by a pillar, further into the room. He wasted no time getting his bedroll situated. The night had barely started falling, but he could do with some shut-eye, the trip here had taken a lot out of him. He laid there, the ambient sounds rolling over him, his eyes closed.

God damn it.
Fucking insomnia.
They must have waited for sleep to claim them for at least a few hours now, going by the loud snores and rapidly dropping temperature.
Sitting up, they looked around, letting their eyes acclimate to the dim candle light. It must have not been as late as they originally thought, there were still quite a few people up, silently reading or chatting, or simply waiting for Morpheus's embrace as well.
They needed a distraction. Rooting through their bag, they found what they were looking for: a deck of cards. Now, to find a companion...
Az's eyes scoured the room, hoping to find someone willing to entertain them.
