Appearance:
163cm (5’4”) tall, rather muscular for an elf. Medium brown skin, yellow-orange eyes, and long light reddish blonde hair that he wears pulled back in a low pony tail under a somewhat messy shorter top, parted just off-center. He has six fingers on both hands, as well as six toes on each foot. Even in his elven form, he has several fox-like features, including long, dark, claw-like nails, sharp vulpine teeth, no visible sclera, dark waterlines, and slit pupils. As a beastman, he also has the indicative red spell markings on his body, which he never bothers to hide, especially considering his already unusual appearance.
In his beast form, he stands at around 177cm (5’10”) with the likeness of a red fox.
He tends to wear looser clothing that can stay in tact when he transforms, and usually opts to go without a shirt (totally not just to show off his nipple piercings). Additionally, he never wears shoes, as the claw-like features of his nails also apply to his toenails, so shoes are usually uncomfortable, unless they’re sandals - which he just doesn’t like.
Personality:
Vaako is fairly laid back, for a criminal. He enjoys jokes and pranks and getting up to mild mischief, though he sometimes doesn’t know when he’s taken a joke too far, which can get him into trouble, even if he never meant any real harm. He has an air of casual confidence, mostly because he often just says what he’s thinking, and wont usually take things too personally. He is also fairly socially aware, except when it comes to joking around, where he tends to think if he’s having fun, others must be having fun too. In most other situations, he will match a person’s energy, and while he usually doesn’t take things too seriously, he can be snarky and rude if that’s what he’s met with.
Skills:
Hand-to-hand combat, minor healing magic. He mostly fights in his beast form using his claws, teeth, and strength as his weapons. His magic is weak, and he could never fully revive someone, or help them recover from a near fatal wound, but he could mend some broken bones and heal most flesh wounds.
Background:
Vaako’s family were not nobles, but they lived well enough. He grew up happy and well cared, an only son. As soon as he discovered the existence of beastmen, he became fascinated with them. He would often sneak out to watch fights and grew curious as to what other kinds of beastmen might exist, beyond those commonly seen in the fighting rings. With no real purpose beyond pure curiosity, he eventually found someone to cast the spell on him to make him a werefox. Unfortunately, likely due to his extra appendages, the spell was just slightly off, and he retained several clear fox features in his elf form. This alone wouldn’t have bothered Vaako in the slightest, in fact he rather likes his new look, but it did mean that he was immediately caught for his connection with black magic and arrested. Before long, he was recruited to join the Canaries, eventually being assigned to join a scout of the Canaries.
