The journey had been much longer that Theriot anticipated, he swayed lightly in place as he waited for the boat crew to hand him his luggage, boats were a new experience but not an unwelcome one. He looked around curiously, many of the people around him were also with him on the boat to get here, but a couple faces were new and excitingly unknown in more ways than one; he stared at a kobold sailor for a little too long and got a quiet snarl in response, then almost stepped on a half-foot woman's long skirt when she walked by, muttering an apology when she gave him a look.
Bags full of books and clothes now back in his possession, he thanked the sailors one last time before walking down the wooden dock towards the Island proper, excitement and anxiety mixing uncomfortably in his chest at the new landscape in front of him.
