Name:
Rokuro Saigo

Race:
Ogre

Age:
22

Appearance:
Image
193cm (6’4’’)
Rokuro is very pale in every aspect, from his hair to his eyes and his skin. His straight, unkempt hair is nearly white, almost looking like fresh snow. His horns are intact, and fade into a grayish blue at the tips. He has light brown eyes with small, thick eyebrows. He often has a very reserved but kind expression on his usually flushed face.

All of Rokuro’s clothing is thick and warm. He has a long, dark scarf that he uses to help keep himself from getting sunburnt on the surface. He wears a plain, traditional faded navy blue kimono, with a white layer under it. To keep the sleeves out of the way when he works with his hands, he has a striped tasuki sash around both of his arms, tied in the back and on one arm in a bow. He doesn’t use this strap to help carry his supplies when in the dungeon. He wears a similarly plain white hakama, with simple straw waraji sandals and tabi socks.

Personality:
Rokuro is an incredibly passive, quiet man. His culture may have raised him to be quiet and respectful, butt he takes things to another level. In fact, he’s so reserved that despite his intimidating stature, he often ends up getting walked all over. Whatever he’s truly thinking is hard to determine as a result, and it would take a lot to get the truth out of his mouth. It takes a lot to surprise, fluster, scare, or truly bother him. That being said, he treats others with kindness, even if they may not have earned or deserved it. He’s not a pacifist, but he’s still the kind of person to apologize to a monster after hitting it with an 80 something pound club.

Skills:
Weaving
Rokuro is skilled in tasks that keep his hands busy. While his brothers defended their village, hunted, and did other rigorous activities, Rokuro mended their clothes and wove fibers. At one point, he was extremely skilled at not only making fabric, but the patterns that went on it. A lot of his skills have rusted over the years, but there’s a muscle memory to repairing clothes that can’t be erased. Of all the things to have a firm opinion on, Rokuro’s is on fabric.

Brute Strength
Even though Rokuro is limited by his sickness, he is still an ogre. He doesn’t have the stamina of other members of his race, but he’s still able to deliver devastating blows with the traditional ogre weapon of choice, a spiked club. His time with the needle and caution with his health ensures that every one of his attacks hits, no matter the size or speed of his enemy.

Background:
Rokuro is the sixth son of a small clan of ogres who lived high in the snowy mountains of the Eastern Archipelago. Unlike his brothers, Rokuro suffered from a disease that made him frail in many ways. He was sensitive to the cold of his home, unable to do prolonged physical activities, and prone to episodes leaving him barely able to breathe. His family were both ashamed of and worried for him, keeping him quietly hidden from the rest of the clan where he could be safe. Rokuro holds no grudges for his treatment, even though it meant he couldn’t live like the rest of his brothers or help his clan.

While the Eastern Archipelago isn’t known for having much trouble with dungeons or monsters, news doesn’t travel from the isolated mountain ranges where Rokuro lived. A disaster struck the clan’s village, and they were attacked by monsters. Rokuro hid, with his father and brothers all venturing out into the blizzard to protect their people. When the dust finally settled, he was the only one of his family’s line left alive, and their clan looked to him for guidance. The people didn’t know Rokuro very well, catching only glimpses of him throughout his life. They didn’t even know he was sick. So when Rokuro decided to leave instead of pick up the mantle and lead them, he was branded as a coddled brat and a coward. The tale of an heir who ran from his responsibilities spread like wildfire through every community that received the displaced people of his clan.

Rokuro shed his family name and left to wander, with no particular goal or destination in mind. He desires to see the world as best he can before his disease inevitably cuts his life short, and make up for the lost time he spent with his clan. The appearance of a brand new dungeon, in particular, has piqued his interest.

Typical Role in Dungeon Parties:
Fighter, Mediator

I apologize for the suffering Rokuro is going to go through when it comes to the fabric on this Island... I hope he brought his own blanket.
