Trinket Information

Trinkets are North Sea Dungeon's progression system. To encourage thread completion any completed thread regardless of location or topic will generate at least one trinket for all players involved. This means if you and a few other characters simply have a chat on the side of the road and part ways, you will all get a trinket. This is to encourage different types of roleplay, not just Dungeon Dives.
Completed threads must be posted to the Trinket Exchange. Please note Trinkets are added and exchanged manually! Marking your thread as complete will not automatically generate trinkets.
Extra Trinkets will be given to longer threads with more people, as well as to completed threads that are part of an event.
Getting Trinkets:
Please make a new thread in the Trinket Exchange with the prefix [CLAIM] once your thread has been completed and ready for review. Please include the following in the body of your post:
Only one player needs to make this thread. Trinkets will be awarded to all participants.
Players can pool together Trinkets across characters and with other players.
Using Trinkets:
If you are pooling together trinkets for a reward everyone who wishes to contribute must post in the thread. All rewards are subject to review and approval.
Please make a new thread in the Trinket Exchange with the prefix [EXCHANGE] with details of what you would like to exchange your trinkets for. At this time Trinkets can be exchanged for the following:
Change Username Color & Bold Username: 5 trinkets
Pick from the following: Pink, Red, Rust, Yellow, Light Green, Dark Green, Blue, Teal, Indigo, or Grey
Board Wide Announcement (2 weeks) – 10 trinkets
Displays text the top of the forum for all users to see for two weeks.
Custom User Rank – 20 Trinkets
This is the text that displays directly under your Username
Map Marker – 30 Trinkets
Allows you to add a landmark to the map.
Additional character slot – 30 Trinkets
Allows you have an additional character slot
Fourth Floor in Dungeon Unlocked – 50 Trinkets
Unlocks the fourth floor of the dungeon. Reminder: players can pool together Trinkets across characters and with other players.
Custom User Group – 60 Trinkets
Allows you to create a custom usergroup that displays in the "Who's Online" field. The founder of this group can add other members to this group as well.
Sub forum Creation – 100 Trinkets
Allows you to create a sub forum to be used for roleplaying (e.g.: a named tavern in the Town)
