Todd put one hand over his mouth and dragged it down his face a second time, muttering, "Fantastic. Just what I need is people thinking I'm the one doing this." He sighed then, putting his hands on his hips and tilting his head back to look up at nothing in particular for half a moment before Yehla caught his gaze again. Now that he was actually looking…
…those were horns, weren't they. At first glance he would have guessed some sort of headdress. Interesting.
"I'm assuming someone overheard me at the registration office," Todd offered in explanation. "That's the only place I would have mentioned my full name." He frowned deeply. "Someone who imagines themselves quite funny, I suppose."

Yehla smiled when she caught the green eyes lingering on her horns, but said nothing, listening to what Toddjob had to say about the whole situation. She chuckled. "I won't lie, it is sorta funny." At the glare she received she raised both hands in a placating gesture. "I mean! Who the hell would go such a length to annoy you? You gotta admire the dedication, I guess."
She dropped her hand, before tilting her head, looking thoughtful.
"Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I saw you on the Island before, when did you arrive?"
She pauses, before smiling with more teeth than before, eyes narrowing. "I'm positive I would have noticed such a pretty face."

Narrowing his own eyes in return, Todd's glare turned unimpressed. "Now you're making fun of me," he observed, not answering the question.

Yehla's smile grew, letting the flirtatious edge come out in full display. "Do I look like I am?" she hummed, tilting her head and letting her jewelry clink together.

Todd opened his mouth while pointing an accusative finger, but the flirtatious edge of Yehla's expression stymied him before he could think of a response, mouth snapping shut again as his face burned with something like humiliation.
This was highly irregular territory. Being made fun of, that was something he understood. Whatever this… this woman was doing, he didn't know what to make of it or what to do with it.
"You look like you don't have any sense in your head," he hissed eventually. That seemed neutral enough. Either she was making fun of him--and doing an excellent job of making a fool out of him in the process--or she was being genuine, in which case… well, in which case she didn't have an ounce of sense.

She laughs, bright and loud. "That's the first time I get that! You're an interesting one, Wertz!" Still chuckling, she waves a finger. "But you didn't answer the question, I can ask it again without the charm, if you'd like! So. Nice to meet you, how long have you been around this parts?"
Her smile turns friendly, and she leans one shoulder on one of the pole holding the board up."I wasn't lying when I said I didn't notice you, and I've been here a while, I like to keep tab on the occupants of the island."

"Only a few days," Todd answered, seeming to relax a little now that the flirtatious charm had been dialed back some. He glanced away before looking back to Yehla, something like the beginnings of a smirk on his own face as he added, "Don't worry, you haven't lost your edge, in that case. I try to keep a low profile, usually. Whoever's been posting these flyers put an effective stop to that, though."

Yehla hummed, looking back at the board once more. "Yeah, I don't think anyone in the adventuring loop hasn't heard at least of the name Toddjob, sorry about that." She looked back at him. "Assuming you are here to participate in Dungeon exploring. Despite trying to keep a low profile, you must have come here to find a party, no? I don't think the Island is much about any other profitable sectors. Unless, merchant, perphaps?"
While speaking, she digged in her cloak, pulling a white wooden pipe from a pocket and absentmindedly looking for her herb pouch. "Mind if I smoke?" she added, looking back at the man.
